So I'm curious about the best way to go about rebuilding following a chapter 7 discharge. Should I just live on a cash basis for 6-12 months first, or am I better off trying to get a credit card or car loan first? I own my car and could sell it or trade it for $5,000. Following this bankruptcy that destroyed my credit, I'm inderstandably leery about taking out new loans, but I understand it's a necessity of I want to buy a house sometime. I just kinda like knowing that no matter what happens in life, my car is my own. It's kinda nice having cheap insurance, too. But anyway, I'm lost as to my best course of action.
