Hello everyone! My husband had a collection on his report that was deleted in mid-December after sending a DV. Today I got a notification from CCT that a new collection was reported. When I checked it was for the same bill but now by a different CA.
While the amount of the bill is the same, the account numbers are different and it was reported as opened in November 2015, even though the other collection agency was still trying to collect at that time. I also never received a letter from this new collection agency.
Should I send this new company a DV letter too? Is this debt going to kept getting sold over and over again even though the debt can’t be verified? Thanks for your help!
