Do I dispute with my original creditors?

I've disputed items with the credit bureaus. I talked to some credit repair companies and in addition they also dispute with the original creditors because of the credit bureaus remove an item from my credit report the creditor can put it back on my report. Am I supposed to do that as well? Any advice would be appreciated.
